Representatives from 13 agents/distributors from all over the country returned to the company to attend the annual regular meeting. The meeting was chaired by Lu Yu, the assistant to the marketing and sales department manager. The company's management personnel who attended the meeting included General Manager Lin Gang, Vice General Manager Jin Yi, Director of Vacuum Pump Manufacturing Department Tan Shiyao, Director of Industrial Furnace Manufacturing Department Chen Ming, Deputy Director of Supply Department Liao Sihan, Director of Finance Department Shi Zeyan, and Director of Quality Department Cao Jin, etc. Chairman Gao Shijun attended the meeting and delivered an important speech. 

The meeting began with a welcome speech by General Manager Lin Gang, followed by a summary speech on the work of agents/distributors in 2012. Mr. Lin provided a comprehensive overview of the achievements made in 2012, covering both the company's basic operating conditions in 2012 and the performance of agents/distributors in that year. He also elaborated on seven specific measures taken to cope with the possible economic downturn in 2013. Mr. Lin emphasized, 'The company will continue to stand together with all our agent friends to weather the storm and overcome difficulties.' 

Next, the representatives of the two agents/distributors made their speeches. Wang Yu, the general manager of Beijing Xinpeng Trade Co., Ltd., said that Mr. Lin's speech had greatly inspired the agents/distributors, 'We will definitely work harder in the coming year.' Yu Dehui, the general manager of Shenyang Guoshun Vacuum Equipment Co., Ltd., began his speech by talking about the evolution of the company's agents/distributors. He said, 'There are very few enterprises like Nan Guang that have held agent/distributor meetings for over a decade. This year's meeting was held earlier, which is a good measure to take advantage of the early start to cope with the uncertain economic situation next year.' He was also very confident about the market prospects of vacuum products, believing that 'In China, the vacuum industry can be regarded as a promising industry.' 

Subsequently, Wang Haiyan, the director of the marketing department, read out the list of winners for the 2012 agents/distributors and held an award ceremony. 

Before the meeting ended, Chairman Gao Shijun delivered an important speech. Mr. Gao first welcomed all the dealers back to Nan Guang. He said that the date of this year's meeting was advanced to allow everyone to listen to their opinions and suggestions in advance, and to make arrangements and plans for the 2013 work. He stated that although Nan Guang's performance has declined this year, overall it still made a profit. He emphasized that Nan Guang will not pursue a large-scale approach but will 'steadily follow the path of vacuum technology, focusing on vacuum acquisition and vacuum application'. He also pointed out that after several years of exploration and development, the company will pay more attention to the market share of its products, in order to cope with the possible continuous impact of the economic crisis. He also said, 'I hope all of you can put forward your own opinions and suggestions at the meeting, to help improve and enhance the management model and level of Nan Guang Company.'

After the meeting, the representatives of the participating agents/dealers also had a discussion with the middle-level managers of the company. They communicated and exchanged on related issues. Mr. Lin specifically talked about the significance of the 'Ordering Conference' and communicated and interpreted it with the attending representatives. He said that the dealer/agent meeting will be renamed as the 'Ordering Conference' in the future. The reason for calling it 'Ordering Conference' is fundamentally to conduct market segmentation. If the agent/dealer meeting is a passive response to the market, then the ordering conference is more about actively attacking the market. Taking Nan Guang's vacuum pumps as an example, although there are many models and varieties, their applications are often concentrated in the electric light source industry, while the market expansion in fields such as petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, pharmaceuticals, and packaging is insufficient. The form of the ordering conference will be more conducive to dealers/agents to efficiently expand the market and help Nan Guang to specifically develop new products. 

The meeting concluded successfully in a cheerful, friendly and trusting atmosphere.
